To avid gym-goers, working out without listening to music is like a crime. To the normal folks, it doesn’t make much of a difference if you cut your workout short by a few minutes, especially when you’re lacking motivation.
But for people who’re serious about fitness make every second count — especially those last few ones that are almost impossible to tough out. But the one thing that can get you through even the most brutal of workouts is good music.
It gets even better when you have some cool wireless headphones plugged in, right? This way, you’re in your own little world, and by all counts, you’re the boss!
Wireless earphones also have another advantage. They’re small, that’s for sure, making them fit virtually anywhere in that gym bag.
They also leave your neck, arms, and hands wire-free, allowing you all the freedom you need while going through your routine.
You think I’m talking about AirPods, right? Not that I have anything against them, but they haven’t been designed for the gym. What other alternative is there, you ask?
The Rock has just released in-ear headphones, wireless, of course, designed to keep up with your grueling workout routine, anywhere, anytime.
Built to Last
Going by the name “Project Rock True Wireless In-Ear Headphones,” they’re definitely built to last, and they’re also big on audio quality. What’s more, the fact that they’re designed by Dwayne Johnson may just give you that extra push you need while working out!
Released under the actor’s line (Under Armour), the headphones are quite something. They are tough, fully sweat and water-proof, and you could even wear them while swimming! Additionally, the buds’ ear tips come in a three-winged variety, allowing you to choose the perfect fit for your ear.
The controls are located on the Brahma bull at either bud’s side, with the bull being the actor’s signature talisman. It represents positive energy, and isn’t that exactly what you need when you’re out for a run?
JBL is responsible for the headphones’ audio, giving the True Wireless a deep and bold bass. What’s more, the company’s Talk-Thru tech lets you reduce your music’s volume and still hold meaningful conversations while working out with some company.
For those who are all about the music and no talk during a session, Ambient Aware tech from JBL takes care of that.
For safety purposes while in a gym, it doesn’t completely cancel out all the noise, but it gives you as close an experience to noise cancellation as you would like. And as The Rock described the buds, they’re like fine tequila in the user’s ear.
The True Wireless come with a cool charging case, embellished by its gold color. The attached carabiner adds to the appeal while making the case easier to carry.
To the delight of many, the buds can hold out for five hours when fully charged, and the case holds with it an additional twenty hours of charge.
Just in case you’re all good on the charging, the buds also come with a small utility case you could use to carry them around.
Although $199 for earbuds may seem a bit pricey, the True Wireless are quite the investment for a person who’s really serious about hitting the gym.
