United States President Donald Trump is no stranger when it comes to controversies. It would seem that there wouldn’t be a month wherein he would be involved in an incident. Most of the time, it is when he takes on social media where he would be posting things against people or companies. This time around, he went after the most popular search engine in the world, Google.
Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake News Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of….

The public isn’t exactly surprised when Trump came after Google, that is because it is said that Google has shown their support towards President Obama as well as the other Democrats such as Hilary Clinton, who actually lost to 547’o last 2016 United States presidential elections. However, the political bias accusations were immediately denied by the said search engine website.
Trump Attacks On Twitter
Once again, the United States President takes on Twitter where he ranted about how Google was being biased against him. It was Tuesday morning when he accused Google of being anti-Republican. He didn’t actually just tweeted once but multiple times about it, he said that the results on Google search were “rigged” not just towards him but also to his fellow Republicans. He said that about 96% of the results when you actually search for “Trump News” on Google, came from what he referred to as the “National Left-Wing Media”.
Trump accused Google of controlling what the public can and cannot see. This is not the first time that the government has attacked private relevant companies on the internet such as Facebook with the fake news and Cambridge Analytica issues as well as Twitter and this time around, it is Google’s turn. It has become a political fiasco, but the president did have a point as to Google having the power to control what the public sees and what they cannot see. However, it is not in the context on what he was actually implying.

There were no biases on the search algorithms, no harm was done on him or to his fellow republics. Google has been around for a quite a while now, and if they do an alphabetical list of every single web page in the world, just for people to find what they are looking for then it is just like an online complicated library. The search engine is there for a reason, there are even rankings as to which terms or topic are on trend on a particular day or week. However, it is not guaranteed how exactly this pick those topics out.
It was on Wednesday when the president posted a video wherein he pointed out how Google actually promoted former President Obama’s State of Union tons of times on the Google web page, and according to him, Google didn’t do the same for his Congress. It wasn’t exactly clear if the video was made by the Trump administration or if it was from a third party and Trump just shared it.
The president accused Google once more by saying that they are just taking advantage of the public and he even warned Google, as well as other tech firms, to be careful on their political bias.
Google Denies Accusations
Google’s spokesperson released a statement saying that their company did not promote former president Obama’s State of Union address during his time in 2009 as well as Trump’s. That is because they weren’t exactly State of Union addresses, instead, they were a joint session addresses that was delivered by the Congress, which has been a tradition more than 20 years ago. This is to actually pull the weight off of the new president’s shoulders to deliver the said address right away.

However, they admitted that they have indeed promoted Obama’s addresses from 2010 to 2016 while he was in office. Google said that they have also promoted Trump’s State of Union back in January 30th on their webpage by highlighting the livestream. There was even a proof on a Reddit sub that shows Google indeed highlighting the livestream of the president at that time.
To add some context to this tweet: https://https://t.co/gEBNZtjkjA there are multiple captures of the front page of Google, during the time of the Jan 30 2018 State of the Union Address, in the @waybackchine, that show Google promoting its live feed. E.g. https://t.co/h2Ho1eESee

Tech experts then backed up Google when links of web archives came out as proof that Google indeed promoted the State of Union of President Donald Trump. It was revealed by Wayback Machine, who also said that some of the screenshots from the video were doctored.
