Rihanna has been a household name for a while now, but can you believe that it hasn’t even been two decades since she burst onto the scene? It sure feels like we’ve listened to her music forever, but that says a lot about the songstress.
For the lyrical genius, we have Evan Rogers to thank. The producer was on vacation in Barbados, where he heard a young Rihanna sing. He was so impressed he got her to do a demo that he sent to Jay-Z, and thus Rihanna’s career was born.
Describing the whole situation to Rolling Stone, Rogers said that he knew he’d discovered a star and she was as fierce as they come; as fierce as Kobe Bryant.

Music and Then Some
Since then, Rihanna has come quite a long way. Music is her main thing, but she’s also ventured into both acting and business. For her hits, she has 9 Grammys to her name. Movies she’s starred in have been widely successful, and let’s not even get started on her business ventures.
FENTY BEAUTY, the cosmetics line she launched back in 2017, made $72 million in its first month. By late 2018, the brand was already worth $570 million, and it must be worth a lot more by now, seeing as Forbes named RiRi the richest female artist alive, putting her net worth at $600 million.
The 31-year-old also recently made history by being the first woman of color to launch a fashion house in partnership with LVHM. She also pioneered women into launching original brands with the famed fashion house, and she revealed that the partnership has been everything she ever hoped it would.

Growing up, life was tough for Rihanna. She has admitted as much multiple times, saying that she once had to save up for a whole year for a pair of Timberlands. Now that she’s making millions, life is certainly on a different course, and she couldn’t be more grateful.
Slowing Down? Not Rihanna
Additionally, she has no plans of slowing down even for a moment. Speaking to Style Magazine, the songstress admitted that never in her wildest dreams had she ever thought she’d make as much money.
Now that she’s making it, there are certainly no limits. At no point will she say to herself that she has made enough, and we believe her. After all, she makes her dough doing what she loves and feeding her passions.

Making money is all good, but what one spends it on is what shows us who they truly are. Rihanna has said time and again that she doesn’t care about the money, she only makes it to ensure her family leads a comfortable life.
She has also said that it facilitates her business ventures, and seeing her exploits on that front, all we can say is go, girl!
Philanthropy is also another avenue via which RiRi spends her money, going as far as starting a foundation geared towards promoting children’s health care and education.
So long as she’s lending a helping hand, Rihanna has said that she’ll always be happy. What a kind-hearted soul.
