Nothing keeps this superwoman on the ground. Just recently, we learned that Lohan’s MTV series will not be returning for another season.
Also, her beach club in Mykonos, Greece, which the reality show was based in, got wrecked. However, she got right back up and signed a record contract with Casablanca Records co-owned by Tommy Mottola.
Successes and Downfalls in Lohan’s Career
Lohan has quite the résumé. She’s a fashion designer, actress, film producer, businesswoman, and singer. This can be quite convenient since she can just jump from one venture onto the next every time she faces a setback. Also, she has been in the spotlight since her childhood years, and even at 32 years of age, she’s still hitting the tabloids with controversial news.
Although her career had begun ever since she was a child, we first met the talented actress in Walt Disney’s The Parent Trap in 1998.
Her performance was remarkable, to say the least, and the fact that she took up two roles in a single film showed just how talented she was from such a young age. That was definitely the big break that catapulted her to fame
Afterward, she went on to appear in numerous popular films like Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Bobby, Machete, and other numerous films. The actress endured a period of legal fights, rehabilitation, and intense media coverage, which caused her to lose out on several roles. However, she got back on her feet and salvaged her career.
She began appearing in the reality show Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club this year but it turned out to be short-lived television stint.
Lohan has also established herself in the fashion world since 2008. She has been the face of numerous commercial brands such as Miu Miu, Jill Stuart, and the Italian company Fornarina.
She started a clothes line called 6126, which signifies the birthday of her idol, Marilyn Monroe. Well, now we know that she’s obsessed with the phenomenal Marilyn. Last year, she had announced her interest in starting a make-up brand, which is still in the works.
Her work in the Music Industry
Lindsay gained fame in the music industry with her two albums A Little More Personal (Raw), and Speak. She had signed a deal with Casablanca Records back in 2004 at 18years old.
On the Billboard 200, Speak ranked No.4, and a video selected for an MTV Video Music Award. On the other hand, her 2005 album, A Little More Personal, peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard charts.
She then released her hit single, Rumors in 2004, which was inspired by the feared paparazzi who had given her a hard time. The song helped the singer a great deal in cementing her place and legacy in the music industry.
She has now decided to sign another contract with the same record company she did as a teenager. Lohan had posted a photo of herself in a studio, which suggests her involvement in music.
She is said to be working on some soundtracks, which could mean we should be ready for her music to drop anytime now!
The theme song to the Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club reality show was her own Bossy tune that she released in 2008, a song she had co-written with Ne-Yo. She also made several recordings to her films.
As for her beach club in Mykonos, a recent image reveals the closed up spot in the deserted beach. But she might have a lot planned for the music industry.
