The Fast & Furious movie franchise has been around since 2001, and although Vin Diesel hasn’t been in all the movies, he has featured in the most successful ones, effectively making his face one that everyone associates with the franchise.

Family
Having been together for over ten years, cast members have grown to be more than friends, just as their characters have. They are effectively family, and the lengths at which they’d go for one of their own is certain proof of that.
July 18 was Vin Diesel’s 52nd birthday, and his on-screen family had a surprise waiting for him. Despite being mostly an SUV man when he’s not playing Dominic Toretto, the actor’s “Fast” family got him a Dodge Charger, a 1970 custom-made edition at that.

Sharing how it all went down via Instagram, Vin Diesel was visibly speechless. All he could do was exclaim in surprise, and the looks on the faces of those present was that of satisfaction. When you surprise someone and they’re visibly moved by what you got them, isn’t that what we call a win-win situation?
Henceforth, the actor will become the real life Dominic Torreto. Picture this; you’re at a red light, then a Dodge Charger comes to a halt next to you, and the driver rolls their window down. Sure, it’ll be Diesel, but won’t your first thought be that you’ve just seen a real life scene of the Fast & Furious franchise? You’d even take a picture for bragging rights!
The machine the Hollywood star got for his birthday is totally deserving of the driver we see on screen. It is powered by a twin-turbo V8 Mercury Racing engine with a 1350 horsepower on standard fuel, and 1650 hp with race fuel.
What’s more, you definitely have to know your way around driving stick with this one as its gearbox is manual. The beauty is all leather on the inside, with the exterior being made of impressive carbon fiber. Who says this ride isn’t sleek?
Spin-offs
Truth be told, the Fast & Furious universe has had tremendous success. So much so that it has already inspired spin-offs, with two having already been confirmed. Hobbs & Shaw is the first of the two, while the second film still remains untitled and is poised to have a female lead.
Additionally, Vin Diesel will serve as one of the producers in this second film, and it won’t be his first time taking on this role in the franchise. He’s actually a seasoned producer having donned the suit from 2009’s movie, and we have him to thanks for those massively entertaining stunts they pull off.

Fast & Furious 9 is also in production, and from the details already made public thus far, Vin Diesel and all your other favorite stars are in the mix. There’ll also be some new faces too, including Anna Sawai and John Cena.
With Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson busy with Hobbs & Shaw, Sawai and Cena came in to fill their spots. No one’s complaining though, are they?
